When you make and/or grow most of your own food, you expect
it to be healthier and safer than the commercially available foods. We always thought so. But with genetically modified organisms
(GMO’s) being so much in the news lately, we felt compelled to make some
changes on the farm and in the kitchen.
Buying GMO-free food shouldn’t be such a challenge, but it does take a
little research on the consumer’s part.
There are better options out there.
The link below will take you to a page that gives some choices in brands
that offer GMO-free foods. Many of them
are readily available in your grocery store.
GMO-free brands
We used to think that because we grow much of our own food
that it was safe, but it’s not true. GMO
distribution has become so insidious that it’s even in the seeds we buy to
plant our gardens. But there are some
great seed companies out there who have signed a pledge not to sell seeds
treated with GMO’s. Here’s a link to
some of those companies. We’ll be buying
our seed from them, and we hope you’ll help support them, too.

Thanks for growing, cooking, and eating responsibly. We’ll all be healthier for it.
