To celebrate the upcoming Cinco de Mayo this weekend, why not try making your own nacho chips for an appetizer? You can start here with our
basic Corn Tortilla recipe. After making the tortillas, cut them into triangular, chip-sized pieces using a pizza cutter (a sharp knife will do), and fry them in a little bit of oil until lightly browned and crisp. Top off with a sprinkling of sea salt or a little garlic powder and enjoy. You'll never want store-bought nacho chips again after trying your own.
One of our favorite dips is to combine a packet of low-fat cream cheese (softened) and about half a jar of Picante sauce. Mix together until well blended and smooth, and top with some sliced Jalapenos.
Happy Cinco de Mayo to everyone!
