The garden is coming! The garden is coming!

It's our favorite time of year here at the Three-Headed Chef:   Garden Season!   Everything is in the ground now - blackeyed peas, corn, green beans, yellow squash, zucchini, butternut squash, potatoes, tomatoes, sweet peppers, hot peppers, eggplant, herbs - everything!  And we survived last night's monsoon (one year we had to re-plant seed 3 times because of heavy rains!), so should be harvesting a few things fairly soon.  Take a look at the potatoes!  They've never looked so good.  In about a month we'll be blogging about cooking fresh New Potatoes . . . yum!  What's your favorite potato recipe?  Are you growing a garden?  We'd love to hear from you with new recipe ideas and gardening tips.
Two rows of potatoes, getting close to digging time.
As we start bringing things in from the garden this spring and summer, we'll be posting recipes for lots of ways to cook fresh vegetables, as well as methods of canning and preserving.  Tom makes killer Dill Pickles - just ask anyone who is now addicted to them!  Stay tuned!  For more garden pics see our Garden page.
